Energy East - Application Process

Abstract

The Energy East project is a 4,500 km pipeline that will transport, safely, about 1.1 million barrels of oil per day from Alberta and Saskatchewan to the refineries of Eastern Canada and a marine terminal in New Brunswick.

The project application was first filed with the National Energy Board in October 2014. This presentation will provide an overview of the successes and the challenges encountered as the project continues to advance through an evolving regulatory environment.

The session will focus on the project's regulatory application process.
