What is the YPAC Pipeline Conference and Tradeshow?

The YPAC Pipeline Conference and Tradeshow is a biennial event (held every two years).  It is usually held in Edmonton, a location with lots of pipeline activity and limited exposure opportunities for learning, networking and building relationships.  This event will be the second event.  The last event was sold out.


What is the Young Pipeliners Association of Canada (YPAC)?

Young Pipeliners Association of Canada (YPAC) was brought up by pipeline industry veterans who were concerns with the longevity and skills gap of the industry. YPAC work to educate and engage young Canadians interested in the pipeline industry by: promoting the pipeline industry, upholding safe and reliable operations in the pipeline industry, providing networking opportunities between other pipelining peers, and assisting the pipeline industry in educating the public on the necessity of the pipeline industry.


When did YPAC start?

YPAC started in 2012 and was based on the Young Pipeliners Forum model in Australia developed under the Australian Pipleines Gas Association (APGA)

Does YPAC have an age limit?

YPAC is open to all age categories, how else do you get knowledge transfer if you restrict the age range? YPAC’s target audience is for pipeliners that are 35 years and younger, have an interest in the pipeline industry, are a current student studying pipeline related subject matter or has less than 10 years of experience in the pipeline industry.
